As a key supporting event for APEC China Year in Shandong, the Asia Pacific Civil Society Conference kicked off on September 2. On the evening of the same day, Shandong International Communication Center conducted an exclusive interview with Mongkol Surasajja, Vice President of the National Assembly and President of the Senate of Thailand. The president spoke highly of Shandong’s profound Confucian cultural heritage. He expressed hope that Thailand could draw on Shandong’s modern agricultural expertise to boost its agricultural development, called for deeper practical cooperation across multiple fields between local authorities and civil societies of China and Thailand, and advocated joint efforts to build an Asia Pacific community with a shared future.
